Hassan Vs Alkali: Appeal Court, dismiss Hon. Hassan's certificate forgery, allegations against Hon. Alkali, orders re-election

By Fatima Muhammad - Abuja The Abuja division of the Court of Appeal, on Friday dismissed the appeal of Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan, seeking disqualification of Hon. Muhammad Adam Alkali, alleged of certificate forgery. The court in a unanimous judgement, led  by Justice, Okon Efreti Abang, said the court having found that the lower tribunal, had not pronouncements on the alleged certificate forgery, the appeal court cannot give any judgement to that effect. Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan and his All Progressives Congress (APC), had challenged the educational qualification of Hon. Muhammad Adam Alkali, of the People's Redemption Party (PRP), alleging he had forged his primary certificate to contest the 2023 election into Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency. "You don't appeal on sentimental ground but against the judgement of the Tribunal. Kidney theft: How magistrate Chollom, frees Noah Kekere, others without prosecution in Jos

By Muhammad Tanko Shittu Jos A  Magistrate Court setting at Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB), has controversially, freed on bail, a quack Doctor Noah Kekere, accused of organ harvest at his Murna Clinic and Maternity, Jos. The matter which came up Tuesday,  presided by Chief magistrate D. Chollom even though the suit was not enlisted on the cost list for Tuesday's hearing. Mr. Noah Kekere, and his alleged accomplices, were arrested by the Police, and latter remanded the Jos Correctional Center, following a remand order by the Magistrate Court. On Tuesday, the lawyers of the accused led by Prof. A. S. Shaka, sought for the bail of Mr. Noah Kekere, even without case file, and prosecution before the court. As the accused listened from the accused box, Chief Magistrate Chollom granted conditional bail, seeking for two sortie, one each to present Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), and another most be a traditional ruler.
